The Byrdaw falls is one of a very little known place of attraction situated around the corner of Meghalaya. The falls is beautifully unique in nature among the rest of the falls in Khasi Jaintia Hills. It is located at Pomshutia Village about 5 KM from the Dawki village which is about 73 KM away from the Shillong city.
Regardless of little fact on it, few tourists were notice this place as a place of tourist attraction because of its beautiful look, good social behaviour and most importantly is of the uniqueness of this falls called Byrdaw Falls. Interestingly, the falls acts as a source of income to some people of this village where the falls is located. But infact the flow of tourists to this area is minimal due to lesser known, poor connectivity in term of advertisement, lack of encouragement or steps taken by the government etc.
The falls has a very rare characteristics and its resemble to the cave-like structure where waterfalls is flowing. The people can safely walk from the cliff of the falls towards down the falls. The geographical landscape, the fresh air, the breeze and a distinguished characteristics make the falls unique and unparalleled feature among the rest.
It attracts the villagers of a far flung areas as well as a nearby village. It forces the first timer visitor to come time and again to taste the sense of its beautifulness.
